Transit Security

The LEA team has completed numerous transit security assessments and plans for agencies across Canada. Work included undertaking a complete Threat Risk & Vulnerability Assessment (TRVA) and developing a transit focused Security Plan, as part of Transport Canada's Transit Secure program. Working with Globe Risk International (GRI) our transit security expertise allows us to deliver comprehensive services from assessments and planning to transit oriented security solutions including security systems design, staffing, and policy development. |

Thousand Islands American Crossing - Security Risk Assessment & System Concept Plans
LEA assessed and developed concept plans for infrastructure assets included USA Thousand Islands Suspension Bridge, Approaches, Operations, as well as Bolte Castle attraction and Heart Island wharf and cruise ship docking facility. Work included development of a security assessment model for the facilities, threat assessment, adversarial paths, direct damage and economic impact determinations, risk and sensitivity analysis, cost-benefit analysis, policy and EMP review, development of mitigation concepts, preliminary design and drawings, and presentations to the TIBA Board. |

International Bridge Crossing, Sault Ste. Marie - Security Risk Assessment
LEA were retained to conduct an anti-terrorist security assessment of Sault Ste. Marie International Bridge Crossing, Canadian and USA spans, and operations. Work included development of a security assessment model for the facility, threat assessment, adversarial paths, direct damage and economic impact determinations, risk and sensitivity analysis, cost-benefit analysis, policy and EMP review, development of mitigation concepts, preliminary design and drawings, and presentations to the JIBA Board. |

Thousand Islands Canadian & American Crossings - Detailed Design of ITS-Based Security System
LEA were retained to provide final design and implementation of security mitigation systems and Security Monitoring Centre (SMC) at the Thousand Islands Border Crossing, both Canadian (Federal Bridge Corporation Ltd.) and USA (TIBA) jurisdictions. Work includes detailed engineering for detection and protection systems, infrastructure and communications back-bone, installation of an SMC, training recommendations, supervision during construction, etc. in addition to a blend of ITS traffic management operations systems. |
