As an Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Engineer at LEA Consulting Ltd., you will lead and manage projects that advance transportation infrastructure through innovative ITS solutions.

n this role, you will lead and develop structural engineering designs for a range of projects, including institutional, commercial, transit, and residential buildings. This includes managing the design process from concept through to construction completion, with a focus on steel, concrete, masonry, and mass timber structures.

Collaborate with an elite team of Transportation Engineers and Planners to deliver a variety of Transportation Planning and Traffic Engineering projects for the public and private sectors. This role would allow for gradual advancement from project coordination tasks to managing projects fully as a Project Manager

In this role, you will lead and oversee Traffic Signal and Illumination Design projects for various clients, including the City of Toronto, Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO), Municipalities, and Private Developers. Your responsibilities will include designing traffic signals and PHM-125 systems, integrating various traffic detector technologies, and creating lighting designs for roadways, highways, parking lots, and pedestrian pathways. Additionally, you will mentor and guide junior engineers and designers, providing technical expertise and support to enhance team performance and project outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the Civil/ Transportation industry, with specific expertise in Rail and Transit projects, and will provide project management and technical expertise in the Civil design of Transit Infrastructure, including BRT, LRT, subway, transit stations and facilities, GO Transit corridors, etc.

The successful applicant will participate in a variety of projects related to stormwater management/water resources for various clients, including municipalities, Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO), Metrolinx, Infrastructure Ontario (IO) and private sector. The Civil Practice Area offers opportunities to work in a variety of Civil sectors, including Municipal, MTO, Land Development and Transit

Your day-to-day work will include working with Engineers and Designers on solving problems and creating new designs.

In this role, you'll collaborate with a team of skilled engineers and designers, working to enhance Ontario's transportation infrastructure. As a member of the team, you'll provide mentorship and support to junior team members, helping them to develop the skills and knowledge required for success.

The Project Accountant plays a dual role, balancing invoicing responsibilities with project accounting duties. Key responsibilities include monitoring project status, ensuring project budgets are accurate and up-to-date, and communicating the financial health of projects to Project Managers.
