Reporting to the GIS Specialist, the GIS Technician is responsible for the creation, collection, management, and analysis of GIS data for various infrastructure and development projects across Ontario. Successful applicants must be motivated, able to work independently, and have excellent organizational and communication skills. The applicant will be required to work with minimal supervision and may be required to travel to various project sites across the province.

Key tasks to be undertaken include completing baseline natural science surveys to inventory vegetation and wildlife species, characterizing and assessing vegetation communities and wildlife habitat, and completing targeted surveys for Species at Risk (SAR).
