LEA to Design Pape Interchange Station and Gerrard In-Line Stations
LEA sees the impact traffic congestion and the resulting greenhouse gas emissions have on communities and is thrilled to be involved in an upcoming project that will contribute toward improving the quality of life for everyone in Toronto. The Relief Line South (RLS) project is part of the planned Downtown Relief Line, an upcoming infrastructure project that will provide relief and future travel options for commuters in Toronto. Our team has been awarded the 30% design for Pape Interchange and Gerrard Stations – the largest design package on the project. LEA is the lead consultant of the Toronto Downtown Transit Consultants (TDOTc) team, which also consists of NORR Architects and Engineering Limited, and HH Angus and Associates Ltd.
About the RLS Project
RLS is a future, 7.5km long rapid transit line that consists of eight stations, connecting downtown Toronto to Pape Station on the existing Line 2 Bloor-Danforth Subway line. Anticipated budget is $4.5B
LEA’s services will include Structural Design, Civil and Municipal Design, Utility Relocation, Transportation Planning, Traffic Engineering, and Construction Staging.
