Giving Back with Golf!

At LEA, we appreciate the impact our work has on our surroundings. Every day we spend working in a new area brings us closer to those who inhabit that space, and the issues and concerns of the people in these communities. We like to show our support and give back to these communities through charitable causes and events. This fall we have sponsored and attended several golfing events aimed at raising awareness and support for community charities. These events have included:

Providence Golf Classic – Monday September 11, 2017

Welcome sign at 2017 Providence Golf Classic.The Providence Golf Classic is held annually in support of Providence Healthcare. Now in its 23rd year, the tournament raises funds and awareness for Providence’s Hospital, the Cardinal Ambrozic Houses of Providence, and their Adult Day Program. The Providence Hospital helps adults of all ages rehabilitate after strokes, orthopedic surgery, and other complex medical conditions – more than 5,000 people benefit every year. The Cardinal Ambrozic Houses and Adult Day Program provide long term care options for hundreds of people in our community.

It was an honour for LEA to sponsor the reception at this wonderful event. We are extremely appreciative of the work Providence Healthcare does for our community.

City of Welland & United Way of South Niagara – September 8, 2017

Hole at Riverview golf course.The City of Welland organized a golf tournament at Riverview Golf Course to kick off their 2017 United Way Campaign. United Way South Niagara is a registered charitable organization that works to support the residents of Niagara, particularly in Fort Erie, Niagara Falls, Pelham, Port Colborne, Wainfleet and Welland. The organization invests in 3 priority focus areas – sponsoring local programs, services or initiatives that:

Support healthy child and youth development, family cohesion and services for special needs;

Increase access to social and health-related services, improving services for an aging population, all of which helps to build healthier, stronger communities;

Reduce poverty and increase the assets for families through basic human needs and education to employment.

These are only a few of the ways that the United Way gives back in the Niagara area. LEA was proud to sponsor a hole and take part in this event.
