LEA India facilitated training programs for our client the Ilalla Municipal Council, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania in August 2019. Twenty professionals visited LEA India’s Delhi office to undergo field training in the areas of capacity building in urban infrastructure development, traffic management, and solid waste management. Professional institutes like the Central Road Research Institute (CRRI) were involved to provide specialist training, which was followed by visits to several sites including a central traffic control room / system in Delhi, and a Waste-to-Energy plant and landfill site.
A similar training was organized in September 2019 for 30 professionals from Mbeya Region Municipality and Mtwara Municipality of Tanzania. Representatives from the President’s Office-Regional Administration and Local Government (RALG) were part of the delegation. Training programs included discussion on the functioning of modern municipalities to render efficient services to the communities, training in CRRI New Delhi, a field visit to Delhi-Meerut Expressway, and a visit to a Waste-to-Energy plant and landfill site.
