LEA Celebrates the Appointment of Pinaki Roychowdhury as CEO

The LEA Group’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Pinaki Roychowdhury has been appointed CEO of the LEA Group, effective September 15, 2017. Pinaki takes over from Dave Saunders who has served as CEO for the last 8 years.

Pinaki is a Civil Engineer from University of Calcutta, India with a Masters in Highways and Transportation Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology. Pinaki has more than 25 years of rich and varied experience in international consulting. He joined the LEA Group in 1994 as a Senior Highway Engineer and rose in the organizational hierarchy to become Director of LEA Group in 2004 and Managing Director of LEA Associates South Asia (an operating company of LEA Group) in 2006. Over the years, Pinaki has led, mentored, guided and built a team of professionals in various Engineering disciplines in India, and was instrumental in executing a number of large infrastructure projects – with a focus on Transportation Projects for Public and Private sector clients in India and other Asian and African countries. Many of these projects are funded by Multilateral and Bi-lateral Funding agencies like the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, African Development Bank, JICA, USAID etc.

Pinaki is also involved in executing large PPP projects with Concessionaires from both developed and developing countries. He has experience and exposure in working with clients, funding agencies and colleagues from various countries with multi-lingual and multi-cultural backgrounds.

Pinaki has been the driving force in globalizing the LEA Group’s operations, adding the African continent to a list of other countries in Asia and Canada. The LEA Group is poised for considerable growth and geographical expansion in the coming years and believes in collective leadership with an inclusive management approach. His integrity, work ethic and dedication to improving peoples’ lives through improved infrastructure are inspirational to us all.
