LEA Consulting Appoints a New Vice President

Ken Chan, P.Eng., is announced as Vice President – Transportation Engineering and Planning


LEA is proud to announce the appointment of Ken Chan as Vice President (VP) of the company. Ken began his journey with LEA as a co-op student, then quickly became a full time Transportation Analyst / Designer in 2003. Over the next 15 years he worked his way up in the Transportation Planning / Traffic Engineering practice area, eventually managing the practice with Andrew Brown starting in April of 2017. Ken has demonstrated his interest in every aspect of LEA’s business locally, globally, and corporately, while displaying commitment, loyalty, technical prowess, and innovative ideas in all the initiatives he participates in. He is a positive role model and mentor for young engineers and planners, and he continually looks for new and better ways to manage our business.

Ken Chan is a Professional Engineer and holds a B.ASc. in Civil Engineering from the University of Waterloo. He first joined LEA full-time in 2003 as a Transportation Analyst / Designer. He is a certified Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) with the Transportation Professional Certification Board Inc., a member of Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), a member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). When not working, Ken enjoys renovating and spending time with his wife and young family by exploring nature and the urban fabric of Downtown Toronto via the public transportation system.
