LEA Explores the Outdoors in September

We made the most of the tail end of summer this year, as our social club organized two awesome events last month: our annual Algonquin Park Canoe Trip and the Oasis Zoo Run.

The Algonquin Park Canoe Trip is somewhat of an annual tradition at LEA. A group of brave paddlers travelled north to the park again this year on September 20th to paddle, portage, and camp on Rock Lake. The weather held up all weekend, which kept the group in great spirits as they explored everything Algonquin had to offer. The trip was another huge success, and we look forward to keeping the tradition going for many years to come!

Back in the GTA, some athletic LEA team members took part in another event that has become an annual tradition – the Oasis Zoo Run. Organized by the Toronto Zoo to raise funds to support their conservation, education, and research efforts, the run takes participants on a journey through the zoo grounds, giving everyone a chance to take in the sights while completing their 5 or 10 km routes. Congratulations to everyone who took part this year!
