On December 3, LEA Consulting Ltd. (LEA) was named one of Greater Toronto’s Top Employers (2025) by Mediacorp Canada Inc., the organizers of the annual Canada’s Top 100 Employers project. This award recognizes companies in GTA that have created progressive and inclusive workplaces and programs designed to help employees thrive and get ahead in Canada’s most competitive labour market. Each year, winners are evaluated on eight key areas, which have remained consistent since the project’s inception: (1) Workplace; (2) Work Atmosphere & Social; (3) Health, Financial & Family Benefits; (4) Vacation & Time Off; (5) Employee Communications; (6) Performance Management; (7) Training & Skills Development; and (8) Community Involvement. We are so proud to be ranked amongst the leading organizations in these areas.

As an employee-owned firm for over 70 years, it has been deeply embedded in the fabric of our business that our employees are our greatest asset and the key to our continued success. Fostering a workplace where our employees can thrive is a priority driven by our leadership, who are committed to ensuring that employees feel supported, engaged and empowered to succeed.

In GTA’s highly competitive job market, which is especially true in our industry, we understand employees seek opportunities for career growth, flexibility and work-life balance, and benefits for their families. To meet these needs, we have implemented programs like our Mentorship Program and Idea Exchange, designed to foster professional development and prepare the next generation of leaders. We have also embraced a hybrid work model, as it offers flexibility and promotes work-life balance. Additionally, LEA offers a comprehensive group benefits plan to support employees and their families. These programs and benefits are important to us as they help with retention and encourage long-term growth within the company.

When it comes to culture, LEA takes pride in its Social Club which has been around for over 20 years and aims to bring employees together outside of the work we do. From skiing trips and Blue Jays games to escape room challenges and our annual holiday party, these events promote camaraderie and celebrate our culture as an employee-owned company.

At LEA, we strongly believe in giving back to the communities where we work. We encourage employees to volunteer by providing one day of paid volunteer leave and have supported employees who have participated in charity events such as the CN Tower WWF Climb for Nature and the CanstructionTO competition in support of the Daily Bread Food Bank. By being involved with different events and charities, we contribute to the growth of communities beyond engineering and planning.

We have always maintained that what sets us apart is our people. We have incredibly skilled and dedicated employees and each person has played an integral part in upholding and promoting the positive work environment and culture at LEA. We thank our employees for making this achievement possible. We are thrilled to share this award with you!
