LEA has been recently awarded a new 5-year contract to provide maintenance engineering for the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC). LEA will be utilizing our expertise in rail transit to provide track and structure engineering support, track maintenance, and track design services for the TTC’s Subway and SRT transit lines. The project will be managed by LEA Project Manager Abbas Khayyam, who brings to the team almost 20 years of experience managing and delivering multidisciplinary projects for TTC.

LEA has a longstanding relationship with the TTC, including past agreements providing maintenance engineering services, as well as experience providing design and engineering services on new build projects. Most recently LEA was a member of the design team who delivered Pioneer Village Station and Finch West Station on the Toronto-York Spadina Subway Extension, the six station, 8.6 km long subway extension into Vaughan.

“We look forward to continuing our relationship with the TTC building on our successful track record leading and managing multi-disciplinary projects and offering not only design services, but also project management services inline with LEA’s long-term objectives. We understand how important it is to maintain crucial infrastructure and keep transportation operating smoothly in Toronto and the surrounding area. The TTC provides an essential service which serves hundreds of thousands of riders daily, and we look forward to helping maintain this valuable system.”
