LEA Runs to the Beat of the Drum

LEA participants in the Toronto Carnival run.

The Toronto Carnival Run located right by Lake Ontario in the heart of Toronto, is the first Caribbean-inspired run in all of Canada. The Toronto Carnival Run focuses on encouraging the health, wellness, active living, and cultural diversity in Toronto as you speed past the scenic view of Lake Ontario in preparation for the Toronto Caribbean Carnival parade (formally known as Caribana) to happen the week after.

A team of enthusiastic LEA members came for the run and delicious Caribbean-inspired breakfast, and stayed for the music of the steel drums on Saturday, July 28, 2018. We would like to thank all of our members for continuously showing the LEA values of staying active and healthy while supporting amazing causes, and a congratulation to Ryan Brown, who placed 3rd in the men’s 10k portion of the run!

The Toronto Carnival Run is held in support of The Simunye Foundation. To learn more, visit http://www.torontocarnivalrun.com/.
