LEA Welcomes Mark Swan, P.Eng. as Vice President of Civil – Municipal

In September 2021, LEA welcomed Mark Swan as their new Vice President of Civil – Municipal, for their Canadian operations.

M-Swan_Headshot-(1).jpgMark has 35 years of experience working on multidisciplinary projects in the municipal infrastructure development and environment sectors throughout Ontario and internationally. From concept to construction, his expertise encompasses the planning, design, and construction phases of projects, leading large multi-disciplinary teams. Mark has significant experience  managing projects including trunk sewers and watermains, water reservoirs, water and sewage pump stations, collector and arterial road work, Metrolinx/TTC projects, and waterfront projects. Recently, Mark has worked with the City of Toronto on their Basement Flooding Protection Program and the Downsview Trunk Watermain and Keele Street Water Pumping Station Upgrade Project as well as the Region of Peel’s Mattawa-Dundas Trunk Sanitary Sewer and local Watermain Replacement Project.
 
Mark holds a bachelor’s degree in Applied Science (Civil Engineering, Management Science Option) from the University of Waterloo.

With 35 years of experience on his side, Mark will focus on enhancing LEA’s existing municipal service offering, expanding into new service areas, and securing more diverse projects. Another priority on Mark’s radar – mentoring junior/intermediate staff by providing them with the opportunity to work on new and exciting projects so they can diversify their skillsets and advance their careers.
