LEA was retained to conduct a Threat, Risk, Vulnerability Assessment (TRVA) and subsequent design of Enterprise Security System for Peel Regional Police Force facilities, Canada’s third largest municipal police. As part of the scope of work, LEA investigated and assessed sound transmission issues within the booking area and adjacent interview rooms in 5 of their Division offices throughout Peel Region as part of their renovation program. Sound Transmission Class (STC) testing, Noise Criteria (NC) testing and Reverberation Time (RT) testing were conducted to understand the acoustic issues present. Measurement data was analysed and modelled to identify mitigation measures suitable to improve privacy between the booking area and the privacy rooms while achieving a suitable price point.
